NAPOLEON HILL (1883 - 1970)
- THE FOUNDER OF SCIENCE OF SUCCESS
Napoleon Hill was born into poverty in a one room cabin on the Pound River in Wise County, Virginia. When he was 10, his mother died and his father remarried after 2 years. He became a very rebellious boy, but grew up to be an incredible man. He started his writing in the age of 13 as a "Mountain Reporter" for small town newspapers and later became America's most beloved Motivational Writer. He dedicated his life and his thinking for the correct and accurate reason by which so many people fail to achieve true financial success and happiness in life.
He with his earlier earnings as a Reporter, went through the Law School. He was given an assignment to write a series of success stories of famous man, and his biggest break in life came when he interview the Steel Magnet Andrew Carnegie. Then Hill was commissioned by Carnegie Commission to interview over 500 millionaires to find a successful formula that could be used by a normal person. His interview included Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell, Henry Ford, Woodrow Wilson, F.W. Woolworth, among others. Later on he became an advisor to Andrew Carnegie and with his help he formulated a philosophy of success and with this he produced his book "Think and Grow Rich" which made a miracle in the field of Personal Development. This book has sold over 7 million copies and also has made several mens to achieve success and happiness in their life. He died in November 1970 after a long and successful career writing, teaching and lecturing about the principles of success.
